This easy stuffed shells recipe combines tender jumbo pasta shells filled with creamy ricotta and topped with melty mozzarella, all baked on a flavorful spinach and ground beef marinara sauce.
Start by boiling the pasta shells. While they cook, put a large skillet on medium-high heat. Add the chopped onions and ground beef. Stir and cook until the beef is fully browned with no pink left, then drain the grease.
Add all the seasonings: seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder. Toss in the spinach and cook until it wilts. Pour in the marinara sauce, mix well, and let it simmer for a minute or two before turning off the heat.
In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese, an egg, chopped parsley and ½ cup shredded mozzarella. Drain the cooked shells and cool them slightly so they’re easy to handle. Spoon the ricotta mixture into each shell, then arrange the filled shells on top of the meat-and-sauce mixture.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella over the shells. Bake at 350°F for 15–20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven, serve, and enjoy!
